  1. Open this page on both devices. On the same Wi-Fi they find each other by themselves. On different networks, use a room code.

  3. The other device accepts and the files go straight across, encrypted by the browser.

The server is only used so the two browsers can find each other and connect. Files and messages go only from device to device, encrypted by the browser - they never pass through the server and nothing is stored.
